Welcome to the most fucked-up family this side of the galaxy.

Welcome to the most fucked-up family this side of the galaxy. - 15 August 2024 20.27

You are not beyond hope. That is the tragedy. You could change. You know what to do. You choose not to. Not because you cannot, but because change feels worse than repeating failure. Until it doesn’t. Until it is too late.

You know how to split atoms but not how to stop war. You record genocides, then allow new ones. You create systems to help, then defund them and blame the weak. History is not forgotten. It is edited. Framed to suit pride or pain.

The past gave you every warning. You study collapse, then repeat it. You repeat inequality. You repeat ecological destruction. The events are not new. Only the scale changes. The pattern stays.

You build tools faster than ethics. You reward harm. You mistake ease for purpose. You design isolation, then wonder why you are lonely. When damage follows, you act surprised.

There is no forgetting. Only choosing what to remember. You keep what flatters you. You erase what shames you. You praise the rebels once the threat is gone. You condemn horror after it ends. You react. You rarely prevent.

So how can you break the cycle?
